Women and Men
Pelvic health affects daily bodily functions, including bladder and bowel control, sexual function, digestion, and proper support of the organs at your abdomen and pelvis. Conditions that are commonly seen and relate to your pelvic health include:
- Pelvic pain – at the vagina, rectum, vulva, bladder
- Vulvodynia, vaginismus, interstitial cystitis, chronic pelvic pain

- Endometriosis and menstrual pain
- Recovery from pelvic, GI, and reproductive surgery
Prenatal Care

- Sacroiliac SI pain, hip or pelvic pain
- Low back pain, sciatica, tailbone pain

Postpartum Care
After Baby Recovery
Physical therapy addresses the physical changes occurring in the body during pregnancy and childbirth, promotes quicker healing and recovery, and improves strength and flexibility, allowing moms to care for their children and return to the activities they enjoy without hesitation or limitations. Postpartum care is recommended six weeks after childbirth and can also be effective years later. Common conditions we treat, and programs we offer include.
- Pelvic organ prolapse, prevention and treatment
- Relief of pressure, pain, or heaviness in the pelvic region
- Diastasis recti correction and abdominal strengthening
- Painful scar tissue post episiotomy or c-section
- Nerve injuries associated with pregnancy or childbirth
- Urinary or fecal incontinence
- Pain or lack of sensation with intercourse
- Pelvic floor muscle training
- Back to high intensity training i.e. running, HITT, weightlifting
- Management of new or chronic constipation
Orthopedics
Evaluation and treatment of the muscles and joints supporting the spine, pelvis, and throughout the body is essential to full recovery, whether related or non-related to pelvic health. Our initial goals in orthopedics are to alleviate pain, remove inflammation, fix alignment, and increase general mobility. We then work to increase flexibility, coordination, and strength and create an exercise plan that ensures consistent relief and return to a better quality of life. Below is a list of common diagnoses we treat and programs offered.
- Hip bursitis, tendonitis, chronic muscle tightness and spasm
- Recovery from pelvic, spinal, or hip surgery
- Osteopenia and osteoporosis prevention and treatment
- Joint pain related to arthritis and menopause
- Correction of alignment and weakness years after pregnancy
- Home programs combining yoga, Pilates, and weight training
- Neck and back pain, acute or chronic
- Training of posture, body mechanics, ergonomics
